Care for your feet! PDF Utskrift E-post

Poor poor feet. After a long and jolly summer in sandalettes and flip flops they have now been stuffed in tight and warm winter shoes for some months. It is really time to think about them and give them a little treat – they do work hard for you!

A few things your feet will love you for.Personally I am a fascist that will always like to see women wear high heels. There is nothing more beautiful and glamorous than a woman that knows how to walk in heels.

Unfortunately heels, like tight and warm winter boots, are not very nice to your feet so it is important that you know how to take care of them. Not the least so they already look and fabulous for the coming spring and summer!

There are three different types of feet:
Soft and alert – you already have soft feet and need mild treatments to keep them this way.
Functional and ok – your feet are a bit dry and you have some calluses. They feel a bit tired at night.
Hard and dry – you have a problem! The feet are dry and hard and are aching. You need an intense treatment.

Step by step

Soft and alert
1. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of footbath in lukewarm water. Make sure the water is not hot.
2. Bathe the feet for 15 minutes – not more!
3. Polish eventual calluses carefully while the feet are still wet.
4. Dry the feet carefully with a soft towel – between the toes as well!
5. Apply a nice foot lotion or foot crème.

Do this every 14 days and your feet will continue to be lovely.

Functional and ok
1. Mix some 1-2 tablespoons of footbath in lukewarm water. Make sure the water is not hot.
2. Bathe the feet for 15 minutes – not more!
3. Polish eventual calluses carefully while the feet are still wet.
4. Feel with the finger where you have polished. It should feel soft.
5. Dry the feet carefully with a soft towel – between the toes as well!
6. Apply and massage the feet with a caring foot moisturizer or a foot crème.

Repeat this treatment once per week. It can also be good just to moisturize the feet with a foot lotion between the treatments.

Hard and dryIf the feet are really hard and dry this is a good treat.
1. Mix 5 tablespoons of footbath in lukewarm water. Make sure the water is not hot.
2. Bathe the feet for 15 minutes.
3. Polish calluses and cracks carefully.
4. Dry the feet carefully with a soft towel – between the toes as well!
5. Apply and massage the feet with an intense caring foot crème.
6. Put on a polyester sock (not cotton) and keep over night.
7. Repeat the treatment 2-3 days in a row.

Repeat this treatment a few times per month and use a moisturizer between the treatments.

When polishing the feet it is important to do it carefully. If you do that too intensely the feet might actually become harder. They do this to protect themselves so be careful!
