To my joy the trench coat has made a huge comeback this season. Gone are the long Humphrey Bogart style trench coats and instead most are shorter coats made in slightly thinner fabric that can really make you look smart during these grey spring days.
I have found three great ones, each one with their own characteristics and they really show how much you can vary this garment. The black one from Tiger of Sweden is extremely short and they collar actually quite high.
Next to it there is a more traditional trench coat which is no wonder since it is made by Oscar Jacobsson. The fabric is thicker and the style more Humphrey Bogart.
Last but not least is an extremely smart and modern version from Johan by JLindeberg. This is the type you would really think of when thinking of a modern trench coat. In this you can look smart for years and you can really combine it with almost any look underneath – now that is a clever and sustainable way of shopping!
