Recently it was my sister's birthday. But in this day and age, what on earth do you buy for people when just about everyone has just about everything?

Simple. I nipped over to the Dior counter and bought her an eye cream. I'm not sure she was that delighted but it's good to get into good habits for when the ageing palaver is setting in and making your face resemble corrugated iron each morning.

As I was leaving the counter, the Dior lady very kindly slipped a couple of samples in to my bag with the "you'll love these" look on her face. I thanked her and zipped off for an engagement. When I got home I pulled out my goodies and they were (i) Dior Addict "High Shine" and (ii) Dior "Forever" foundation and she was right, I do love them!

High Shine is a new range of lipsticks. I say lipstick (as that is what they are) but when they're on they look more like a gloss. The colours look quite bright, nay, a tad drag-queenesque but just go with it. Slap it on and you have the prettiest sheen around. I am loving these.

The Forever foundation gives a medium coverage, has an SPF of 25 plus it's packed tight with moisturisers. The texture is gorgeous and smoothes on beautifully to give a lovely dewy finish.  Two days later I was back at the Dior counter buying this miracle in a bottle.

So overall, I think I came off a lot better than my sister.  Maybe I should get her some High Shine to make it up to her?
