What the designers says: The collection is a romance between the feminine and an urban Pricen (the artist). Stelyin's inspiration comes from cities like Osaka, St. Petersburg and NYC. The influences come from the streets of Japan, the Russian longing to be seen and acknowledged as well as thenever sleeping city pulse of New York. The colours are black, white, grey, aubergine, dark pink and bright blue wiht neon prints, chiffon and sequins. The fabrics are thin cotton, satin, lycra and lacquer imitations. The Stylein philosophy is to create garments that the customer can wear and combine, as she likes.
What we say: When I see the collection from Styelin I get a bit of a deja vue. It feels like I have seen most of it before but not from one specific designer from from several different ones. I cannot really see a clear Stylein identity. With this I am not saying that it is a bad collection, though slightly soulless, there are some real pearls. I think that Styelin will get a clearer idently with time and I look forward to the coming collections.
