Read the Editors diary from Stockholm Fashion Week. Is it really as glamorous and fun as everybody who is not allowed in thinks, or the people invited want it to look like?

Alive and kickin after very few hours of sleep. I get like that when I have worked a lot and are all excited with adrenalin pumping in my system. Am still excited after the Fifth Avenue show - am already looking forward to next years show. Today it is time for another phace in fashion week. Fashiondays at Berns is pretty much over and instead the trade shows starts. In an hour it is time to go out to Style at Sthlm and Rookies & Players at Stockholm International Fairs and after a few hours there it is Modecenter, Bomullsbörsen and +46. It will sure be a hectic day. Am finally going to see one of my favorite designer's new collection. We have been talking about it over the phone and I am so curious - more about it later.. kinda midnight..
Actually a few minutes after midnight so I guess this should technically be in tomorrow diary but what the heck... After all - it is my diary. It has been a really really busy day and I am absolutely exhausted by impressions. I have now lived fashion for 4 days straight and it actually becomes tough after a while to store the images and impressions that you get loaded with the whole time. The morning started at Stockholm International Fairs where Style at Sthlm and Rookies & Players share one of the halls together with the Nordic Shoe and Bag Fair. I think it is fantastic that there is a big fair in Stockholm again but unfortunately the fairs is a bit large and that makes it a tad unpersonal. The area for Rookies & Players is a bit big and I would much prefer if they had chucked the stands in a smaller corner to get more of a cosy feeling to it. I was extremely happy when Susanne Beskow got the award for Rookies & Players company of the year. She is a brilliant person and not only passionate about her own work, but also works hards to make sure that others designers gets a possibility to succeed. She is truly amazing - a big congratulation from us at StockholmFashionDays.com. After the Rookies show and a special show with Susanne's garments it was time to hit the road and go to Stockholm Modecenter. They have really made a huge effort this year and put on an amazing fashion show. I absolutely loved the runway that was in steel with a steel wall behind as well - astonishing result as you can see from the pictures published. One of the themes was metallica and I really liked that part of the show. i am not really wetting my pants about the fact that the 80.s neon colours seem to be doing a bit of a come back during spring and summer but hey hoh... what can one do? It still was a really good show though. Since I am seriously starting to lag behind with pictures from the shows I went to work a bit together with my photographer after the show. We even managed get some lunch so a clear bonus. After my four hours of sleep last night I could definitely have done with a nap as well but no such thing today. During the afternoon shows by Pia Simensen and Nicolaj d'Etoiles followed. I cannot say I was overly impressed by any of them though it all looks nice. It might be that I am tired though and I will have a thorough look at the pictures before I make up my mind. Make Up Store presented their autumn looks, and since I adore all the people there I would rather have died than not going to see that. I love the looks they have come up with and we will of course present all of them in the coming months, starting next week with the first one I believe. After Make Up Store I was so incredibly tired and only wanted to go home and sleep but... one last thing remained. The +46 Award fashion show. This year the prize was awarded to a Danish designer by the name Nicoline Liv Andersen. The garments might be a bit too playful for my simple mind but the show was absolutely beautiful and produced in a rather spectacular way. This was definitely a good start to a trade show that I am very much looking forward to visiting more during the rest of the week. Well - now it is most certainly time for this tired Editor to get ready for the bed. I shall try my best not to fall out from it tonight (yes - I almost did last night.. its a queen size...).
