What the designer says: Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair finds inspiration in conserving traditions as well as breaking those very norms. Our creative focus will always lie in draping technique where the silhouette progresses through sculpting. In contrast, these advanced shapes are combined with classic wear such as the old-time man's chino or the classic white shirt. Attention to details and love of fabrics is something we honour and are ready to walk that extra mile in order to achieve. The sharpness of architectural construction has been a driving force behind the Spring 08 collection. There is an alertness and freshness in the range of materials and shapes that gives the collection a clean approach with technical features.
What we say: It is not normal to almost cry when a show is over - cry because you want to see more, and more and more. I just cannot get enough of this. It is extravagant simplicity in a way that is only mastered by Astrid and Lee. It is love!
