 As you know a fashion week is an industry event and for the general public it is normally rather tricky to get into any of the fashion shows or trade shows. This year efforts have been made to organize events for the public as well.
Ung Design (Young Design)
Childrens “crazy” fashion sketches becomes reality on the catwalk. This is a project to encourage young people to express themselves in a combination of fashion and art. The result is a collection with 15 garments that is created out of the sketches from a number of children. The collection will be shown in a fashion show at Kulturhuset in Stockholm. Initiator is Fredrik Samuelsson, who studies fashion at St Martins College of Art & Design in London. More information at www.ungdesign.com
Grolsch Block Party
Vice Magazine together with Grolsch have decided to celebrate Stockholm Fashion Week with a big street party at Götgatan. The party starts at 5pm and goes on until late.

Fashionplay
Fashionplay was originally a website where invited designers, researchers and artists could present their work with fashion in text and pictures.

Guldknappen (Golden Button – award ceremony)
Magazine “Damernas Värld” organizes the 26th award ceremony that will choose Sweden’s best designer.
