What the designer says: The design process takes place on an imaginary potter´s wheel. The shapes are sculptured around the body resulting in a waveshaped silhouette, where volume expands and shrinks back together again. Soft flowing lines in frilly details run along the body and twist around it. The firing process that results in cracked dry surfaces in earhenware, is here manifested in different structures on the garments. Surfaces reminiscent of glazed pottery give a fragile feeling of stability - always on the verge of breaking.
What we say: I was very impressed when I saw the show from Nakkna. This has never been one of my favorite labels - it has just been a bit too complicated for me - in an avantgardistic way that I don´t really know how to relate to. With this show I think they have manged to keep their way of experimenting but still make it a bit more understandable. I really love a lot of the garments and I do love the fragile in which way it is all presented.
