What the designer says: The a/w 2008 collection is dressed up, launching expensive heavy wools and tight cuts. The fabrics are smooth, showing pattern construction and details - both inspired by the anatomy of insects. The combination of dark pink and sophisticated beige gives the feminine look. The colour scale is based on grey and black, with black and white squares as a main pattern.
What we says: Though elegant it is something that is missing. Minimarket has for quite some time been connected with everything called baloon (which all started with them being identified with the baloon skirt in Sweden). This has been completely dropped in this collection and it is hard to say - but... something is missing. It is always brave to drop a bit of your identity, but it will probably take a season or two before they feel complete again.
